Louis Allport - Hi I'm Louis Allport and what I am putting together here is a bonus coaching video to compliment the interview with Jeremy Gislason.

What I am going to do is visually talk through a lot of what was covered in the interview and more as well. In the interview I didn't talk too specifically during the interview - as it was Jeremy's interview - but I have been involved in the same business as Jeremy, which is online information publishing, for over six years full-time now. I have had a fair bit of experience doing this so hopefully I can put some of this across in this video and hopefully give you some shortcuts to having your own profitable sites and products.

This video is being recorded using the GoToMeeting service. In the past I have generally recorded videos using Camtasia by Techsmith - Techsmith.com. That is good for creating coaching videos, however you do end up sitting there, talking to yourself, and sometimes it is easier to create videos when you are actually talking to someone.

So, as I record this near the start of 2009, I am actually getting my brother involved in some aspects of the business. I think he is very good to have on the call because he's been in the corporate world for many years, but he's a relative newbie effectively, I don't think he will mind me using that term, to Internet publishing and Internet marketing. So I think he will ask a lot of the right questions.

What I will probably do, this will be approximately a two-hour video, will be to probably lecture, so to speak, for the first hour and then as we go through it my brother will write down questions and then we will do a Q & A in the second half which will hopefully answer a lot of questions you may have as well while watching this video.

My brother is called Dominic, so hello Dominic!

Dominic - Hello Louis, how are you?

LA - Good thank you and you?

DA - All well thank you.

LA - Are you ready to crack on with this and write down lots of questions?

DA - Of course, I am a willing pupil here!

LA - Good. So basically what I am going to do is follow the interview overview we created for Jeremy and use that as a starting point and maybe go a bit more in-depth where necessary.

Okay, so let's see a best place to start.

I guess a good place to start is just to go to one of Jeremy's sites. I think, Dom, you should be able to see exactly what is going on, on my screen at the same time?

DA - I can.

LA - It is a good example. Jeremy's flagship site, the name of his business is SureFire Wealth - his flagship site is SureFireWealth.com. And a lot of his sites, if not most of his sites, follow the same model.

The model is very straightforward, it was covered in the interview, but I think it can seem deceptively simple. And I think often when people start getting involved with Internet publishing, Internet marketing - obviously the whole subject can be a bit confusing and maybe sometimes, I'm sure I was guilty of this when I started out, you can over-complicate things, or just over-complicate things in your mind as you try and plan things out.

It's actually a very simple model - it's basically visitors come to your site, they become a free member - basically they become a free member or they leave. And generally if they become a free member they are presented with a one-time offer. A one-time offer is an offer that is literally set up to only be shown once, and they can either say yes to it or no to it. If they say yes to it they become a customer and you make some money, if they say no to it then they just become a free member and they can usually take up the offer later but generally it's at a higher price.

So SureFireWealth.com. By the time you view this video and visit the site it may look quite different. The site stayed the same for quite a while but a month or two ago it's had quite a considerable change of look. It works exactly the same way but the look has changed.

The concept of the site is basically a massive amount of content and you can see here he lists all the content available: lots of eBooks, lots of articles, all sorts. You can just browse through this.

For example, lets just see if we could use this site as a regular visitor would. So they would probably watch the video - let's just see what happens here - video's loading. We don't need to watch that now and I am not entirely sure what that video is about. Let's see if I can work out how the site works now.

Let's say we click on one of the downloads. There we go, that's how it's meant to work. It's basically saying you do not have access to this, sign in or new users click here. That's where a visitor becomes a free member.

Jeremy]has multiple levels of membership, and that is very important: there are the free members, the Silver Members, the Gold Members, and I think, there is even a higher level also. With each progressive level the customer gets access to more, and obviously it costs more to reach that level of membership. It starts with a free membership and then the offers start.

If you want, go to SureFireWealth.com and go through the process and you will see how it works. At the simplest level it's a very straightforward but very effective model.

Let me talk you through another example. This is something Jeremy touched on in the interview, which he found very important. Like for example here, I'm not sure the exact value, I think he sells Silver Membership for $147 a year, however he allows some promotional partners to gift Silver Membership, to give a year's Silver Membership to some... Let me give you an example so it becomes a bit clearer.

So Jeremy, let's say he has a business partner called John and John has a site with his own email lists and lots of traffic. Jeremy grants John the right to send visitors to SureFireWealth.com though a special link that gives those visitors Silver Membership for free, but they have to register so they become part of Jeremy's email list which is very important.

But they get access for free and why John, Jeremy's business partner, would want to do this is that then a percentage of people who take up this gifted offer are going to take up the one-time offer so then they earn John commission. I will show you this in more detail in just a moment.

So John would get commission, I will demonstrate that in just a moment, but another benefit to John is that rather than doing just a general offer to his list, or his visitors, he can do a special gift, and that gives him more incentive because it's a special offer to his readers, to his email readers, and perhaps to his visitors.

List owners, those who have email lists in the tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, often want to do something unique because if you are doing the same as everyone else it is obviously going to be less effective. If you do something unique and something that appears to be special to the people on your list they are going to be more appreciative, more responsive and they are going to pay more attention to it.

Okay, let me talk you through a good example. Jeremy's a partner of mine on a project - InstantVideoEmpire.com - and I send quite a bit of traffic there from my other sites. For example, one offer... actually let me give you the full background.

A site of mine, SourceRights.com, and that is just a one-page site where I give away some free private label rights and some free product content. It's just a one-page site which is selling the free membership. That may sound like a bit of a contradiction but so much is free online, even with a free membership you do have to 'sell'. For example, this site gets on average 100 visitors a day, just this page. And on average, over the last three years or so, about 20%, 20 in every 100 visitors become free members, so it's definitely not 100% signup even though it's free.

Imagine I typed my name and email address here. After that happens the person who has just signed up is forwarded to this Thank You page. So 'Please confirm your subscription' and then 'Very special gift for new subscribers'. So if I click that it takes the visitor to this private page. 'This is a very special free gift from Louis Allport'...

This Silver Membership to InstantVideoEmpire.com sells for $97 from the front of the site right now but here you can get it for free. There's the sales pitch and then they can enter their details. And for this site we are using Jeremy's MemberSpeed software, MemberSpeed.com software, and it generally asks for more information than the general standard email opt-in because it actually sets up a free membership rather than just collecting your email. So username, password, first name, last name, email, country and then terms and conditions and so on. So it is a slightly more elaborate form.

And this averages approximately 20%, so one in every five visitors, even though it is gifted and it's a very strong offer, still only one in five sign up which is either good or bad depending on how you look at it.

If I quickly go through the process, rather than watching me fill this in I will pause the video for a moment and just fill in the form.

Okay, so I have filled in the form and I am taken to a thank you page. There is nothing actually here, maybe we should set something up to promote but at the moment it is just a standard thank you page, 'Congratulations - you are now officially a member'. However, you need to click on the confirmation link just to confirm the email is genuine. So I need to log into my account and do that now.

So here is the email saying "Welcome - please click the confirmation link to activate the account" and obviously this is done to make sure the email is genuine and it makes your list more responsive because it means you only have genuine email addresses on your list and also it means everyone on your list has actually taken the time to read an email from you so that's an important extra step.

So if I just click on this, it activates my account, it confirms my email, but importantly it takes me to a one-time offer, and this is specifically set up so it's only shown once per member.

Okay so just a sales page, this is set up slightly differently. Often with affiliate programs the person sending the traffic gets a percentage of sales, maybe 50%, maybe up to 75% in certain instances.

This offer, within the Member area, you can upgrade to Gold Membership for $697, however there is a $500 discount if you take the offer now, which makes it a very strong offer, which is important in one-time offers. With a one-time offer it's obviously time-limited which is important because putting across scarcity is important, it is a helpful motivator when promoting products. And it's a very deep discount. So, basically the options are sign up for $197 or 'No Thanks' and that just takes them to the Silver Members area.

But importantly, this is a 100% reseller program. Let me click through and demonstrate this. Okay, so that Order button goes through to PayPal and you can see the person receiving the money here - $197 - is my company, so it's a 100% reseller program, all the money goes directly... if you were a reseller promoting that gifted Silver Membership link, all the money - 100% of it - would go into your PayPal account. So that's just another way of doing it.

So basically this model works very well, it gives people a strong incentive to send you traffic, it builds your list for you and they make money by helping build your list, build your membership base. Even though I am a partner of the site I have been sending quite a bit of traffic through this link. It has been quite lucrative in a very automatic way and this can work very well if you do want to sign up as an affiliate or reseller of any of Jeremy's sites - or my sites - like InstantVideoEmpire.com. This can be quite an easy way to make some extra income.

Okay, so that's just one site and basically that is how the model works. I won't dwell on this too much, you don't need a guided tour of every site of Jeremy's, but for example another one of his successful sites is MemberShipMillionaire.com.
