This incredibly in depth video is part one of three, of the most in depth re-telling of my business history I've ever given.

Outside of these three videos, I've never talked about in as much depth about exactly how I started my business from home with just an $800 investment and turned it into over a million in sales.

Okay, this is important...

Your business has to suit your life goals. Here's why:

Actually, let me back track a little first -- I don't really talk about this, mostly because it's embarrassing, but my very first business was freelance software engineering. I used to be a software engineer working for a fairly large company, and decided to go it alone.

The money was better, but...

I hated what I was doing!

I was stuck at home all day just staring at a screen... doing not particularly interesting work... not talking to anyone... and I pictured doing this for the next thirty years!

Not fun.

And that huge lack of motivation created a lot of internal resistance to the work I was doing, which made it more difficult to do, less fun, and that did affect the success of that business venture (basically I stopped after two years and went back to a job).

It failed, because it did not fit in with my life goals.

And that's really important. You need to choose the right business (or structure your existing business the right way) so that what you really want in life is supported by your business. Your business exists for you, not the other way around!

When your business fits into your life goals -- when business problems, difficulties and challenges come your way, you find the strength to get through them fairly easily and keep moving forwards to your goals, rather than giving up and going back to a job (like I did).

The right business (or right business structure if you have an existing business) for you creates motivation, focus, and the momentum to overcome problems (EVERY business has problems).

Bottom line -- this all helps your business move forwards and make you MORE money.

This is EXACTLY what's happened in my own business, and I talk about this in depth in this video. This is a very important video covering a point that I feel may be often over looked regarding success in any business.

Don't get me wrong - outsourcing can be a LOT easier than taking on employees and be just as beneficial for your business in many ways. But there's a lot you need to know to avoid the outsourcing pitfalls and get the most bang for your buck.

The affiliate lifestyle sounds perfect, right?...

• Not needing to create or ship any products
  
  
• Not needing to do any customer support
  
  
• Taking vacations whenever you like
  
  
• Big checks being sent to you every month from lots of different companies

That sounds perfect to me too! BUT...

The reality isn't quite like that:

• You need very strong technical and internet marketing skills to compete.
